Little miss make up
So I have done my driving test and I passed. I was so shocked I passed. I want to tell yo all what you need to do and what to expect.
Firstly you need to have all yo EDT lessons done which is a total of 12 lessons. I did two pre tests with my instructor and I failed them but he told me to book my test and but my name on the waitin list as it takes ages for you to get a date.
I waited about three months to get a date. You can keep rining them to try get a date sooner but I didnt as I was going to hospital for two weeks.
Once I got my date I told my instrtor who by the way is brilliant and I couldnt of done any of it without him. My instructor was John kelly schoolof motoring in dungarvan and I would highly recommend him.
I booked a few more lessons/pre tests with him before my test and I kept messing up and failing the pre tests. After any lesson I would go to where I went on my lessons with him and keep practisin where I went wrong and it really made a big difference.
On the day of your test you should do a lesson the hour before hand as everything you go over is fresh in your mind.
John brought me into the test centre where I waited to be called. The tester called me into a room where I had to give him my learner permit and clarify my details.
He then asked me some questions, similar to theory test questions. Afterwards we walked out to my car and I popped the bonet. I got asked where certains things are under the bonet like where does the winscreen wash go and where does the engine oil go etc.
He then told me to press on the brakes to check they are working and the same with my lights and indicators.
He then gets in and tells you when your ready to take off. He only speaks when telling you where to go and it just feels like a normal lesson. The thought of doing the test had me so nervous but I wasnt one bit nervous during the test.
I kept telling myself I can do this and keepin calm, relaxed and alert.
The test only takes about 20-30minutes and was over before I knew it. Once it was done I had to follow the tester back into the test centre for my reslts.
Honestly, this was the worst part of the whole thing not knowing if I had passed or not. I went in and sat down and my stomch was in knots as he didnt speak. Then he smiled and said it was good new that I had passed. I actually took a breath with relief and coldnt help but smile. He showed me what little mistakes I made and explained the would come out in a email to me.
He filled in my cert and gave me the lisence forms.
Afterwards I spent and hour ringing everyone telling them I passed and then went to get my N plates. I went to waterford to apply for my liesence. It took about five workin days to come and I know have it for ten years before I must get another one.
I also rang my insrance company who then lowered my insurance it went down by around 28euro.

Thanks for reading and I hope this was helpful.
Lots of love,
